What You Can Claim

Eligible class members choose one of three benefits.

  • Reimbursement for documented losses up to $5,000. This covers out-of-pocket costs reasonably traceable to the breach, such as fraud-related expenses, and requires supporting documentation.
  • An alternate cash payment estimated at $50 for those who don’t submit documented losses. The final amount can move up or down depending on how many valid claims come in.
  • One year of CyEx “Medical Shield Complete” coverage, which includes credit and medical data monitoring plus $1 million in identity theft insurance.

All cash payments are subject to pro rata adjustment based on total valid claims and money left in the fund after administrative costs and attorneys’ fees. The $4 million fund is non-reversionary, meaning ALN doesn’t get any unclaimed money back. Class counsel requested up to $1,333,333.33 in fees (one-third of the fund), and the eight named class representatives each sought up to $2,500 in service awards.7ClassAction.org.
