Apple has agreed to a series of class action settlements over the past few years covering iPhone AI advertising, Siri privacy, older iPhone slowdowns, MacBook keyboards, and Apple Watch batteries. Most of those Apple class action lawsuit settlements have already closed their claims windows and paid out. The one still ahead is a proposed $250 million settlement over “Apple Intelligence” marketing on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 15 Pro lineup, which is awaiting court approval before any claims process opens.
Here is where each settlement stands, who it covered, and whether there is anything left for you to do.
The $250 Million Apple Intelligence Settlement (Still Open)
This is the only Apple consumer settlement where a claims window has not yet opened. The case, Landsheft v. Apple Inc., was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. It alleges that Apple advertised AI features and an upgraded Siri for its fall 2024 iPhones that did not exist at launch and still have not fully arrived.
Apple unveiled “Apple Intelligence” at its Worldwide Developers Conference in June 2024, promoting a Siri that could understand personal context, read what was on your screen, and act across apps. In March 2025, Apple spokesperson Jacqueline Roy acknowledged the delay, saying “it’s going to take us longer than we thought to deliver on these features and we anticipate rolling them out in the coming year.”1Pocket-lint. The lawsuit claims consumers would not have bought the affected phones, or would have paid less, had they known the promised features were not available. Apple denies wrongdoing and said it settled to resolve claims regarding “two additional features” and to “stay focused on doing what we do best.”3NBC Bay Area. A Note on the Apple Retail Employee Settlement
Not every Apple class action is a consumer case. Frlekin v. Apple Inc. covered California Apple retail employees who alleged they were not paid for time spent waiting for mandatory bag and technology searches at the end of their shifts. It resulted in a roughly $30.5 million settlement for non-exempt employees who worked in California Apple stores between July 2009 and December 2015, with final approval in July 2022. A supplemental settlement of about $34,000 later covered 105 employees who had been left out of the original notice.22McLaughlin & Stern. Frlekin v.
