The settlement class covers U.S. residents who bought an eligible device in the United States for personal or business use (not resale) between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. The $250 million is a non-reversionary common fund, meaning any money not paid out in fees, costs, or awards must still go to class members rather than back to Apple. After deductions, the settlement filing estimates roughly $174 million will be available for class member payouts. Apple has denied any wrongdoing. The Promised Siri Features Are Coming
On June 8, 2026, days after the settlement filing, Apple previewed “Siri AI” at WWDC. The new assistant is designed to hold free-flowing conversations, analyze on-screen content, pull from personal data across messages and emails, and perform cross-app actions, the same capabilities advertised for the iPhone 16 nearly two years earlier.13Apple.
