Three Ashley Furniture settlements are on the table in 2026. The largest is a $9 million class action settlement covering fiberglass in Ashley, Nectar, DreamCloud, and Siena mattresses, with claims due July 17, 2026. A second settlement resolved deceptive-pricing claims against Ashley HomeStore locations in California, and a third addressed a data breach at stores run by an Ashley franchisee. Both of those smaller cases have already closed to new claims.
The $9 Million Fiberglass Mattress Settlement
This is the one still open. It comes out of Todd v. Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin (Case No. 3:24-cv-00615), before Judge William M. Conley. The named defendants are Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC; Ashley Global Retail, LLC; and Resident Home, LLC, which owns the Nectar, DreamCloud, and Siena brands and was acquired by Ashley in March 2024.1Retail Dive. Ashley Home Acquires Resident Nectar DreamCloud
Plaintiffs alleged the mattresses used fiberglass as a fire-retardant material inside an inner sock around the foam, and that the fibers could pass through the outer cover or escape entirely if a buyer unzipped the cover to clean it. The complaint said this caused property contamination, economic loss, and physical harm, and that the companies failed to warn buyers.2ClassAction.org. Todd v. Ashley Furniture Industries LLC Settlement Agreement The defendants deny the allegations and any liability, and say they settled to avoid the cost of continued litigation.3MattressClassActionSettlement.com. The court granted preliminary approval on March 19, 2026. A final approval hearing is set for September 24, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. CDT in Madison, Wisconsin.4ClassAction.org. $9M Ashley Settlement Ends Class Action Lawsuit Over Mattress Fiberglass Exposure Risk

What You Get
Payment comes as a voucher, not cash. Each voucher is good for one purchase at AshleyFurniture.com, NectarSleep.com, DreamCloudSleep.com, or SienaSleep.com, with no minimum order. Vouchers expire one year after distribution, are freely transferable, and can be stacked.5MattressClassActionSettlement.com. Frequently Asked Questions8ClassAction.org. Todd v. Ashley Furniture Industries LLC Preliminary Approval Order
The dollar value of each voucher depends on how many valid claims come in. The $9 million fund is split pro rata among all valid claimants. Separately, the defendants are paying up to $3 million for attorneys’ fees and costs, roughly $380,000 in administration expenses, and up to $85,000 to the named plaintiffs. If the court awards less than the $3 million requested in fees, the difference goes out as a cash payment to class members on top of the vouchers.8ClassAction.org. Todd v. Opting Out or Objecting
If you do not want the voucher and want to keep the right to sue on your own, you must opt out by July 17, 2026. Objections to the settlement must be filed by the same date. Do nothing and you lose both the voucher and the right to sue over the claims the settlement covers.9MattressClassActionSettlement.com. Long Form Notice
Why Fiberglass Ended Up in These Mattresses
Every mattress sold in the U.S. must include a fire-retardant barrier, and fiberglass has been a cheap way to meet that rule. Other brands, including Zinus, have faced similar lawsuits over fiberglass escaping mattresses.10ClassAction.org. Fiberglass in Mattress Lawsuits When the fibers do escape, consumers have reported them spreading through HVAC systems and coating furniture, clothing, and bedding, along with skin rashes, eye irritation, and respiratory problems. California Pricing Settlement (Closed to New Claims)
A separate $750,000 settlement resolved Ryan Cornateanu v. Stoneledge Furniture, LLC (Case No. 21STCV09403) in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Stoneledge runs Ashley HomeStore locations in California and was accused of inflating “original” or “regular” prices at least 10% above invoice prices to make discounts look bigger than they were. Stoneledge denied wrongdoing.12ClassAction.org. Cornateanu v. Stoneledge Furniture LLC Settlement Agreement
The class covered California buyers at Stoneledge-owned Ashley HomeStores between March 9, 2017, and March 27, 2022, where the advertised price was at least 10% above invoice. Approved claimants receive a pro rata cash payment plus a $35 merchandise voucher good for 180 days at California Stoneledge stores. The claim deadline was February 10, 2026, and the final approval hearing was set for April 21, 2026, so this one is no longer open to new claims.13StoneledgeFurnitureSettlement.com. Cornateanu v.
