The case centers on false reference pricing: advertising a markdown against a “former” price that wasn’t actually the recent prevailing market price. Who Qualifies to File a Claim
Eligibility is limited to consumers who made qualifying purchases at Old Navy or Old Navy Outlet locations during the class period set by the court. If your purchase falls inside that window, you can seek a share of the settlement.
Some people are excluded no matter what they bought. That typically covers company employees and judicial officers connected to the case. Shoppers who already received a full refund on the qualifying items are also generally not eligible for additional compensation here.

The claim form asks for basic identifying details and information about the purchases you’re claiming. Have the following ready:
- Your full legal name and a current mailing address for delivery of any award.
- A valid email address for digital certificates and status updates.
- Details about the qualifying items and the store location where you bought them.
- Supporting documentation if you have it, such as register receipts or digital order confirmations.
How to File
Claims are submitted through a dedicated online portal. You complete a digital form with your transaction information, submit it, and receive a confirmation that the administrator has received your data. File before the administrator’s deadline; late claims are not eligible.
You can also submit a paper claim form by mail to the settlement administrator. A mailed form has to go out in time to meet the same deadline to count.
What Claimants Receive
After the court grants final approval, approved claimants receive purchase certificates rather than cash. The certificates are redeemable at Old Navy’s physical stores or on its website.
The amount you receive generally turns on documentation. Every approved claimant gets a benefit, but claimants who provide proof of purchase, such as receipts, are typically eligible for a higher award than those who claim without documentation. Once certificates are distributed, they represent the retailer’s final obligation under the settlement.
