Caroline Manzo’s lawsuit against Bravo, filed in January 2024, accuses the network and five affiliated production companies of enabling a sexual assault by castmate Brandi Glanville during filming of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco, and of prioritizing ratings over cast safety. Glanville is not a defendant. She denies the allegations, and the season at the center of the case has never aired.
What Manzo Says Happened in Morocco
Season 4 of Ultimate Girls Trip was shot in Marrakech in late January 2023, wrapping around January 28. According to the complaint and a later affidavit, the alleged assault occurred on the third day of filming. Glanville, who the suit says was intoxicated, had been making lewd comments throughout the day. During a scene filmed on a couch, Glanville allegedly forced Manzo’s legs apart, put her head on Manzo’s thigh, and forcibly kissed her.1Variety. Manzo says she went to a bathroom, and Glanville followed, locked the door, pressed against her, and groped her against her will. She says she called for help until castmate Alex McCord opened the door. In an affidavit obtained by People, Manzo described Glanville “forcibly kissing me, rubbing her vagina on me and then [fondling] my vagina against my will.”2People. Who She Sued and What She’s Claiming

The suit names six defendants:

Glanville herself is not named. The complaint argues the corporate defendants functioned as a joint employer and are responsible for the conditions that led to the alleged assault. It brings 18 causes of action, including sexual harassment, sexual battery, negligence, discrimination, and retaliation, and invokes Title VII along with state and city claims.5People. What the Suit Alleges Producers Did Wrong
The complaint’s theory is that Bravo and the production companies engineered the conditions for the assault and then failed to respond when it happened. It alleges the defendants “regularly ply the Real Housewives cast with alcohol, cause them to become severely intoxicated, and then direct, encourage and/or allow them to sexually harass other cast members because that is good for ratings.” It quotes Glanville herself as having said producers “may not shove the alcohol down our throats, but they sure do encourage it even in Morocco during the day where it’s illegal to drink.”6Deadline. Manzo also alleges the defendants knew of prior sexually inappropriate behavior by Glanville on earlier seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Ultimate Girls Trip Season 2, including attempted unwanted kissing, forcible touching, and comments about wanting to “molest” a castmate. Even so, the suit says, Glanville was not required to complete a mandatory sexual harassment training before filming.5People. During the bathroom incident, according to the complaint, producers monitoring audio sent someone to investigate, but that producer did not open the door or intervene. Afterward, two producers allegedly told Manzo that Glanville’s behavior was “her way of showing love” and pressed her to sit down for a filmed conversation with Glanville rather than keeping the two apart. The suit says the defendants were “more focused on the continuation of the show rather than the health and well-being of Manzo after she was sexually assaulted.”7North Jersey. Glanville’s Denial
Glanville has denied the allegations from the outset. She told Entertainment Tonight in January 2024, “Nothing happened, that’s all I can really say.”2People. Glanville has described the Morocco set as “the Wild West,” pointing to 19-hour filming days and heavy drinking.9Entertainment Tonight. Where the Case Stands
As of the available reporting, none of the defendants had entered a formal appearance or filed a public response to Manzo’s complaint. Season 4 of Ultimate Girls Trip remains unaired. A parallel case may shape how Manzo’s alcohol-related claims are received. Former Real Housewives of New York City cast member Leah McSweeney sued Bravo, NBCUniversal, and Andy Cohen in early 2024, alleging a hostile workplace culture built around pressure to drink. In March 2025, U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman dismissed more than half of her 33 claims but let three proceed: disability discrimination, hostile work environment, and failure to provide reasonable accommodations. In that ruling, Judge Liman found the defendants had a First Amendment right to produce a reality show “that celebrated a party life and the drinking of alcohol” and to cast people capable of authentic participation in that premise.12Courthouse News.
