At sentencing in May 2025, the judge imposed 35 years in prison plus a term of community custody. Two mandatory 60-month firearm enhancements accounted for 10 of those years. The remaining 25 came from Washington’s sentencing grid, calculated using the seriousness level of each offense and Dorsey’s offender score. He had multiple prior felony convictions, including theft, burglary, attempting to elude police, organized retail theft, and possession of a controlled substance by a prisoner, which raised that score and widened the standard range.8ABC 33/40.
