At approximately 9:40 p.m., Moyer dialed 911. His tone was strikingly flat. “I need to report a murder,” he told the dispatcher. Asked what had happened, he answered, “A mother and son, bludgeoned to death.” The dispatcher asked, “Did you do it?” Moyer replied, “Yes, I did.” He identified himself as the husband, confirmed both victims were dead, and said he was no longer armed. Irina Geller Moyer, who also went by Elizabeth, was a native of Kiev, Ukraine. She married Christopher in April 2002, a second marriage for both, and also worked in computers from home.
