Ensemble Health Partners, the Cincinnati-based revenue cycle management company operating as Ensemble RCM LLC, has been named as a defendant in three federal lawsuits since 2020 and has appeared as a plaintiff in one contract dispute. Two of the employment cases against it were dismissed without any public disclosure of settlement terms, one remains active in Florida, and no case in the public record has produced a published verdict.

Mitchell v. Ensemble RCM LLC (2020, Texas)
Tija Mitchell filed suit on February 3, 2020, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. The case was initially assigned to Judge Alan D. Albright and later transferred to Magistrate Judge Jeffrey C. Manske. It ended on June 13, 2022, when the parties filed a joint motion to dismiss with prejudice, which the court granted the same day. Dismissal with prejudice bars refiling. Pugh v. Ensemble RCM LLC (2024, Ohio)
Courtney Pugh sued Ensemble in Hamilton County, Ohio in September 2024, alleging violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act. Ensemble removed the case to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio on September 26, 2024, where it was assigned case number 1:24-cv-00533 before Judge Matthew W. Ensemble filed a motion to dismiss on October 21, 2024. Before the court could rule, Pugh filed a notice of voluntary dismissal on November 1, 2024, and the case was terminated three days later. Doe v. Ensemble RCM LLC (2026, Florida)
The most recent employment suit is the only one still active. It was originally filed in the Circuit Court of Marion County, Florida, and removed to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida on June 12, 2026. The plaintiff is proceeding pseudonymously as “Doe” and alleges job discrimination under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, 42 U.S.C. ยง 2000e.5PacerMonitor. Doe v. Ensemble as Plaintiff: The CarePoint Contract Dispute
In October 2022, Ensemble itself filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against CarePoint Health Management Associates, LLC. The federal proceedings did not last. CarePoint filed an unopposed motion to send the case back to state court, and Judge Sheri Polster Chappell granted the remand on November 16, 2022, returning the matter to the Twentieth Judicial Circuit Court in Collier County, Florida. Complaints and Client Departures That Are Not Lawsuits
Some of the friction commonly associated with Ensemble sits outside the courts. The company holds a B- rating from the Better Business Bureau, driven largely by six complaints it did not respond to through the BBB platform. Campbell County Health in Wyoming ended its RCM contract with Ensemble, in a separation both sides described as mutually agreed upon. The partnership had begun in August 2021.
