The Fabricated Lawsuit Stories
Several of the most-shared claims about Erika Kirk suing someone are not real.

What Kirk Has Actually Done: Cease-and-Desist Letters
The real legal pressure Kirk has applied against online critics has come through cease-and-desist letters rather than lawsuits. Video podcaster Zach De Gregorio, who hosts “Wolves and Finance,” received a letter and responded by picking apart its demands on his show, arguing his statements were taken out of context and that TPUSA’s legal team was “conflating opinion with fact.”4The Hollywood Reporter. The most detailed letter, dated March 18, 2026, went to Collin Scott Campbell of Project Constitution, a Maryland-based online activist. Campbell had posted allegations linking Kirk to her husband’s murder, claimed she procured underage girls for Jeffrey Epstein, and shared what he called a “leaked DOJ wiretap” that he attributed to Kirk but which actually featured someone else. On April 1, 2026, President Donald Trump used an Easter event at the White House to press Kirk to escalate. In late March 2026, comedian Druski (Drew Desbordes) posted a viral skit wearing a blonde wig and a white suit, walking out to sparklers to satirize conservative women. Captioned “How Conservative Women in America Act,” the clip drew more than 3 million views and 1.2 million likes on X, and did not mention Kirk or Turning Point USA by name.7Forbes. Rumors that Kirk was preparing to sue Druski or had sent him a cease-and-desist letter originated with a now-deleted post by journalist Zellie Imani. Her Role in the Murder Prosecution
Kirk’s other real legal involvement is as a victim representative in the criminal case against Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old charged with fatally shooting Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University.10NBC News. Kirk retained Jeffrey Neiman, a Fort Lauderdale attorney and personal friend of her late husband, to represent her interests in the Utah proceedings. Neiman was granted permission to practice in Utah on a temporary basis.13ABA Journal. This is a criminal prosecution brought by the state, not a civil lawsuit filed by Kirk. She is participating as a victim’s family member, not as a plaintiff.
No IRS Investigation
Fabricated legal claims have also targeted Turning Point USA’s finances. Owens and others urged donors to demand refunds, and some small-dollar donors did.
