How to Pay a Violation
HCTRA takes payment several ways:

How to Dispute a Violation

HCTRA will waive fees, though not the underlying toll, in specific circumstances. If your vehicle was stolen, sold, repossessed, or donated before the violation, submit documentation and request a fee waiver. Texas law lets HCTRA classify you as a habitual violator if you accumulate 100 or more events of nonpayment within a single year across at least two written notices. After a final determination, HCTRA reports you to the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, which blocks renewal of your vehicle registration.7State of Texas. Criminal Charges and Vehicle Seizure
Failing to pay a toll on a county toll road is a misdemeanor under the Texas Transportation Code, punishable by a fine of up to $100.
