What to Have Ready Before You Start
Pull these together before opening the form:
- Your current mailing address, phone number, and a working email address.
- A list of the HexClad items you bought and how many. If you still have the packaging or can look up the order, note the specific size or model.
- Proof of purchase: a receipt, order confirmation email, credit card or bank statement, or a screenshot from the retailer showing the transaction. Digital copies are accepted for online filing.
Proof of purchase does real work here. The fund is divided proportionally based on what each claimant actually paid, and your share cannot exceed the amount you spent on covered products.2ClassAction.org. $2.5M HexClad Settlement Reached in False Advertising Lawsuit Over Supposedly Non-Toxic Cookware If you bought a $300 set, $300 is your ceiling, and the actual payout depends on how many valid claims come in against the total fund. You may still be able to file without documentation, but proving what you paid becomes harder and your share could shrink.

- August 5, 2025: last day to opt out of the settlement or file a written objection with the court.
- September 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.: final fairness hearing, where the court decides whether to grant final approval.

What Happens After You Submit
The court granted preliminary approval on April 22, 2025. Payments will not go out until the court grants final approval at or after the September 15 hearing, and only after any appeals are fully resolved.2ClassAction.org. $2.5M HexClad Settlement Reached in False Advertising Lawsuit Over Supposedly Non-Toxic Cookware With no appeal, distribution typically follows within several months. An appeal can add a year or more.
The claims administrator reviews each submission and may send a deficiency notice if your documentation is incomplete or unclear. Respond promptly if you get one. Deficiency windows are usually short, and missing the response deadline can void your claim.
Your payment amount depends on the net settlement fund (the $2.5 million minus attorney fees, administrative costs, and service awards to the named plaintiffs) divided among all valid claimants based on what each person paid. Fewer claims mean higher individual payouts. A heavily subscribed fund means a smaller proportional share for everyone.
