How to Fill Out and Submit the Panda Express Settlement Claim Form

The Panda Express settlement claim form is no longer available. The filing window closed on January 10, 2024, the $1.4 million fund has been distributed, and late submissions cannot be accepted. If you filed on time, payments have already gone out: roughly $10.47 for claimants who chose cash, or two vouchers for a free medium entrée for those who chose food.

Why the Form Is Closed

The settlement resolved claims that Panda Express added a hidden service charge to delivery orders placed through its app and website between July 17, 2020 and February 16, 2022, on top of its advertised delivery fee. The court granted final approval on November 20, 2023. After the appeals window closed, the administrator verified claims against Panda Express order records and paid out the fund. There is no remaining money set aside for late filers, and the deadline cannot be extended.

Who Was Eligible to File

The class covered U.S. customers who placed a delivery order through the Panda Express mobile app or official website between July 17, 2020 and February 16, 2022 and were charged a service fee on that order. Anyone who formally opted out by the court-set deadline gave up the right to any payment.

What the Claim Form Asked For

The form was hosted at pandaexpressdeliveryfeesettlement.com. It asked for your full legal name, current mailing address, and the email and phone number tied to your Panda Express account during the qualifying period. The administrator used those details to match claims against the company’s order records.

Many class members received a direct notice by email or postal mail with a unique Claim ID and Notice Code. Entering those codes linked the filing to pre-verified transaction data. People who never received a notice could still file by entering their account-linked contact information manually so the administrator could search for matching orders.

Paper claim forms were also accepted by mail, sent to the Panda Express Settlement Administrator at P.O. Box 225391. Online or by mail, every claim had to be filed or postmarked by January 10, 2024.

Cash or Vouchers

The form offered two compensation choices. The first was a pro rata cash payment from the settlement fund. The administrator estimated each cash payment would exceed $10, and claimants have reported actual payouts of about $10.47. The second was two vouchers, each good for a free medium entrée, redeemable only through the Panda Express website or mobile app, not at a physical register.

Claimants who selected electronic payment through PayPal, Venmo, or electronic check received their funds digitally. Those who requested a physical check had it mailed to the address on file.

If You Missed the Deadline

There is no further recourse through this case. The fund is closed and distributed, and the administrator is not accepting new filings. If you want to catch the next settlement you may qualify for before its window closes, checking class action settlement databases periodically is the practical approach.
