Ingram Micro Settlement: Eligibility, Claims, and Deadlines

The Ingram Micro settlement is a $350,000 class action resolution for roughly 42,000 current, former, and prospective employees whose personal information was exposed in a July 2025 ransomware attack on Ingram Micro Americas, Inc. If you received a notice from the company about the incident, you can claim up to $1,500 for documented out-of-pocket losses or an estimated $50 flat cash payment, and you’re entitled to two years of credit monitoring. The claim deadline was May 19, 2026, and the court held a final approval hearing on June 3, 2026.¹

The case is Charles Rodden, et al. v. Ingram Micro Americas, Inc., Case No. CACE-25-017034, in the Circuit Court of the 17th Judicial Circuit in Broward County, Florida, before Judge Martin J. Bidwill. Preliminary approval was granted on February 12, 2026.²

Who Is Covered

The settlement class includes all U.S. residents who received a notice from Ingram Micro stating their personal information was compromised in the breach. Notification letters went out on January 16, 2026 to about 42,521 people.¹ Depending on the individual, the exposed data included names, contact information, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, passport numbers, and employment records such as work evaluations.³

If you didn’t receive a notice, you aren’t part of this class. If you lost yours, the settlement administrator can retrieve the unique ID and PIN you need to file online.⁴

What You Can Claim

Class members had to choose one of two cash options.

Documented losses up to $1,500. This option reimburses out-of-pocket expenses tied to the breach, including identity theft losses, costs of replacing identification documents, credit monitoring fees you paid on your own, and postage. Eligible expenses had to be incurred between July 3, 2025 and May 19, 2026, and every claim required third-party documentation like receipts. A written statement alone wasn’t enough.⁵

Pro rata cash payment estimated at $50. Class members who didn’t claim documented losses could instead take a share of a separate fund valued in the settlement agreement at $90,000 to $100,000. The final per-person amount depends on how many valid claims are filed.¹

Two years of credit monitoring. All class members, regardless of which cash option they picked, are entitled to CyEx Financial Shield Complete for two years. The service includes one-bureau credit monitoring, $1 million in no-deductible identity theft insurance, dark web monitoring, financial transaction tracking, and access to a fraud resolution agent.⁶ Enrollment uses an activation code included in each person’s settlement notice, and the code doesn’t work until the court grants final approval. The enrollment deadline is October 6, 2026.⁷

The $350,000 fund is non-reversionary, so unclaimed money stays with the class rather than returning to Ingram Micro. The fund also covers court-approved attorneys’ fees (class counsel requested up to $200,000), a $1,500 service award for each class representative, and administrative costs.⁵

How to File a Claim

Claims could be submitted online at IngramMicroSettlement.com or by downloading a printed form and mailing it to the administrator. Online filings require the unique ID and PIN printed on the notice.⁴

Key Deadlines

May 19, 2026: Deadline to file a claim, opt out, or object.⁵
June 3, 2026: Final approval hearing before Judge Bidwill.¹
October 6, 2026: Deadline to enroll in the two-year credit monitoring benefit.⁷

When Payments Will Be Sent

Under the settlement terms, the administrator begins distributing payments roughly 90 days after the court grants final approval and any appeals are resolved. As of the June 3, 2026 hearing date, payments had not been distributed.⁴ No objections from class members were publicly reported in the available court documents, and the settlement notice stated it was unknown whether any appeals would be filed.⁹

What the Lawsuit Alleged

Named plaintiff Charles Rodden alleged that Ingram Micro failed to implement adequate cybersecurity measures to protect employee and applicant data. The complaint brought claims for negligence, breach of implied contract, and unjust enrichment.¹⁰

Ingram Micro disclosed the ransomware incident in a July 7, 2025 SEC Form 8-K, two days after identifying the intrusion. The company said it had taken systems offline, engaged outside cybersecurity experts, and notified law enforcement.¹¹ Investigators determined that unauthorized access occurred between July 2 and July 3, 2025.³

The settlement involves no admission of liability by Ingram Micro, and the court made no determination on the merits.⁷
