Yungeen Ace, the Jacksonville rapper whose legal name is Keyanta Bullard, is not in jail. The April 2024 Arrest and Why It Was Dropped
On the night of April 15, 2024, Jacksonville Beach police pulled over a rented Chevrolet Suburban after it failed to stop at a four-way intersection. Officers searched the vehicle and found seven loaded and chambered firearms inside, including a rifle, a Draco pistol, and several handguns. One semi-automatic weapon was loaded with armor-piercing rounds. Bullard was sitting in the back middle seat and was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon under a theory of constructive possession.3ClickOrlando. The case fell apart quickly. On July 3, 2024, prosecutors filed a disposition notice declining to prosecute. E-trace records did not connect any of the guns to Bullard, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement reported that the firearms lacked enough DNA for processing, and Bullard had made no incriminating statements. Prosecutors wrote that “mere proximity to a firearm does not establish that the person intentionally exercised control over it in the absence of additional evidence.” The driver of the vehicle had also claimed on YouTube that the weapons belonged to other occupants.1Yahoo News. Has He Been Charged in the Julio Foolio Murder?
No. Julio Foolio, whose legal name was Charles Jones, was shot and killed on June 23, 2024, in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn in Tampa while celebrating his 26th birthday. Three others were wounded, and his attorney described the shooting as an “ambush.”5NBC News. Bullard was not among them. His connection to the case has been indirect. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of North Carolina, “ATK stands for Ace’s Top Killers and is named after Jacksonville rapper Yungeen Ace,”7Jacksonville.com. His Prior Record
The felony that made the 2024 gun charge possible dates to October 2017, when Bullard pleaded no contest in Clay County, Florida, to accessory after the fact. The charge stemmed from a December 2016 incident in which he was accused of being the getaway driver for a man involved in an attempted armed robbery and shooting during a marijuana deal. On June 5, 2018, Bullard was shot eight times in a drive-by attack near the St. Johns Town Center in Jacksonville. Three teenagers riding with him were killed: Trevon Bullard, 18; Royale D’Von Smith Jr., 18; and Jercoby Da’Shad Groover, 19. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the shooting was “not a random drive-by” and traced it to an “ongoing dispute between two groups.” Three days after leaving the hospital, Bullard was arrested on a probation violation tied to a firearm restriction and was held without bail in the Duval County jail pending return to Clay County.10Action News Jax. As of 2026, Yungeen Ace is not in custody and has no publicly known pending criminal charges. Several members of ATK have been convicted and sentenced to life in prison for killings tied to the Jacksonville rap feud, but Bullard is not one of them.
