Junio and the Davi family were neighbors in the Court at Aliante, a gated condominium community on Lookout Lodge Lane. In December 2023, according to police and prosecutors, hostility escalated fast. On December 13, officers responded to a report that Junio had thrown large rocks at the Davi home. The same day, prosecutors say, she drew her finger across her throat in a cutting motion and told the family they were “next.”38 News Now. The Gun Purchase
Four days after the alleged throat-slitting threat, on December 17, Junio bought a handgun. Prosecutors say she then texted a friend asking how to use it, writing, “My neighbor is harassing me kicking my door.”38 News Now. The December 29 Shooting
Around 4:30 p.m. on December 29, 2023, Nick and Sarah Davi returned to their former home to collect belongings. As the family was getting into their vehicle, Junio drove past and stared at them, then parked nearby and rolled down her window.68 News Now. A family member asked Junio why she wouldn’t leave them alone. Nick Davi asked, “What’s your problem with us?” and stepped toward her car. One of the couple’s children, ages 12 and 15, started recording on a cellphone. Junio then got out of her vehicle and opened fire. Nick Davi was killed. Sarah Davi was shot but survived. Minutes before the confrontation, prosecutors say, Junio texted a friend: “If I’m dead or in jail. Take my 2 dogs and 2 dog treadmill.”38 News Now. Criminal Charges and Trial Status
A grand jury indicted Junio in 2024 on one count of open murder with a deadly weapon, one count of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, two counts of child abuse involving a deadly weapon, and one count of discharging a firearm where a person might be endangered. The attempted murder count relates to Sarah Davi, and the child abuse counts to the killing occurring in front of the couple’s children.88 News Now. Junio pleaded not guilty at her March 14, 2024, arraignment. Prosecutors confirmed at the same hearing that a death review committee had declined to seek the death penalty.5Fox 5 Vegas. The Civil Lawsuits
Sarah Davi has filed two civil actions through attorney James Urrutia. The first, filed against Junio personally in January 2024, is a wrongful death suit seeking punitive and general damages for grief, loss of companionship, and pain and suffering. The second suit, filed in early 2026, targets the Court at Aliante Homeowners Association and its property management company, FirstService Residential. It alleges the HOA and management company knew about the escalating conflict but “failed to implement appropriate safety measures, despite knowing or having reason to know that [Junio] posed a foreseeable risk of violence,” and that FirstService communicated prior complaints to Junio “in a manner that unreasonably escalated hostility.” Neither the HOA nor FirstService Residential has publicly commented.12Las Vegas Review-Journal.
