What the Settlement Pays
Class members could choose from several categories of relief:
- Documented ordinary losses up to $250, covering out-of-pocket expenses such as identity theft costs, bank fees, or credit monitoring purchased after the breach.
- Documented extraordinary losses up to $5,000 for larger, verified financial losses directly tied to the breach.
- Lost time at $25 per hour, up to three hours.
- An alternative flat cash payment of up to $45 for anyone who did not claim losses in the categories above. This amount could be reduced depending on total claims filed.
- Two years of credit monitoring through one bureau.

Deadlines
The claim filing deadline was July 10, 2025. The deadline to opt out or object was May 26, 2025. Both dates have passed.5JFG Settlement. When Payments Go Out
Payments have not been confirmed as distributed. Why the Breach Happened
On or around May 31, 2023, JFG detected suspicious activity involving MOVEit Transfer, a file-transfer platform made by Progress Software. A Russian-linked group known as Cl0p had exploited a previously unknown flaw in the software, using a database injection attack to plant malware and pull sensitive data from target servers. The same vulnerability hit more than 2,700 organizations worldwide and exposed over 93 million records.3ORX.
