Kristy Marie Siple and the Murder of Kamarie Holland

Kristy Marie Siple is the Alabama mother who pleaded guilty in March 2024 to first-degree human trafficking for selling her five-year-old daughter, Kamarie Holland, to Jeremy Williams for $2,500 in December 2021. Williams raped and murdered the child. Siple was sentenced to 20 years in the Alabama Department of Corrections and is serving that sentence now.¹

What Siple Did

On December 13, 2021, Siple reported Kamarie missing from a home on Bowman Street in Columbus, Georgia.² The same day, officers found the child’s body in the basement of an abandoned house in Phenix City, Alabama, where Jeremy Williams had previously lived. Russell County District Attorney Rick Chancey later said the girl was found in a damp basement, covered by a car tarp with a rope around her neck.³

Investigators determined that Siple had agreed to let Williams sexually abuse her daughter in exchange for $2,500. Court records established that the arrangement called for Williams to perform sexual intercourse, sodomy, and oral sex on the child.⁴ Russell County Sheriff Heath Taylor confirmed that Siple and Williams had a “prior relationship,” though authorities did not publicly describe how the two met.⁵ Chancey later described Siple as having been “wrapped up in meth and drugs” at the time she sold her daughter.³

Arrest and Original Charges

Siple, also known as Kristy Hoskins, was a Columbus, Georgia, resident.⁵ On December 28, 2021, the U.S. Marshals Service took her into custody at a Circle K on Victory Drive in Columbus around 1 p.m. at the request of the Russell County Sheriff’s Office. She signed a waiver of extradition and was booked into the Russell County Jail that evening.⁶ She was held without bond.⁷

The initial charges against her included three counts of felony murder — murder in the course of a kidnapping, murder in the course of rape, and murder in the course of sodomy — along with one count of first-degree human trafficking.⁵ She also had a pending 2018 charge in a separate case for chemical endangerment of a child, tied to exposing an unborn child to marijuana.⁷

The Plea Deal and 20-Year Sentence

In March 2024, Siple pleaded guilty to first-degree human trafficking. The murder and kidnapping charges were dropped as part of the agreement.¹ In exchange, she agreed to testify against Jeremy Williams if needed, register as a sex offender, and pay financial penalties.⁴

The court sentenced her to 20 years with the Alabama Department of Corrections, with credit for time served. She was also ordered to pay a $10,000 fine, court costs, and $100 to the Alabama Crime Victim’s Compensation Commission. Payment of those obligations was made a condition for any future consideration of parole or early release.¹

What Happened to the Man Who Bought Kamarie

Jeremy Tremaine Williams, 37 at the time of the crime, recorded videos of himself drugging, raping, and killing Kamarie. Those recordings were later used as evidence against him.⁸⁹⁴

Russell County Circuit Court Judge David Johnson sentenced Williams to death on the four capital murder counts, plus life for human trafficking and production of obscene material, 20 years for conspiracy to commit human trafficking, and 10 years for abuse of a corpse.⁹ Williams then waived his remaining appeals and asked the Alabama Attorney General’s Office and Governor Kay Ivey to set an execution date. A competency evaluation confirmed he understood the consequences, and Judge Johnson found him competent to waive his appellate rights.¹⁰ Governor Ivey set the execution for between midnight on August 13 and 6 a.m. on August 14, 2026, by lethal injection, and stated she does not plan to grant clemency.¹¹
