MrBeast Drama Explained: Lawsuits, Lunchly, and Grooming Claims

MrBeast’s lawsuits and allegations stack up across three fronts: a grooming claim against a former collaborator that an outside law firm found unsubstantiated but which surfaced other workplace misconduct; a contestant class action over the Amazon reality show Beast Games; and a 2026 federal suit from a former executive alleging harassment, retaliation, and FMLA violations. The Ava Kris Tyson Grooming Allegations

The first wave hit in July 2024, when YouTuber Prism42 posted a video alleging that Ava Kris Tyson, a longtime MrBeast collaborator, had engaged in inappropriate conversations with a minor. The accusations centered on interactions between Tyson, then 20, and a fan known online as “LavaGS,” who was 13 at the time. The Internal Production Guide Cited in Both Suits

The Children’s Advertising Review Unit, an independent body within BBB National Programs, investigated MrBeast’s advertising and sweepstakes practices and published its findings in September 2025.
