Natera NIPT Settlement Claim Form: Eligibility, Filing, and Payouts

The Natera NIPT settlement claim form is available at nateraniptsettlement.com or by mail, and it must be submitted by July 24, 2026. If you paid out of pocket for a Panorama or Vasistera noninvasive prenatal screening test, filing gets you up to $30 without proof of purchase, or up to 10% of what you paid if you can document out-of-pocket costs above $300. The $8.25 million fund is split proportionally among approved claims, so the final per-person amount depends on how many people file.

Who Qualifies

You are in the class if you paid any money out of pocket (copays, co-insurance, or deductible payments) for a Natera Panorama or Vasistera test while living in the United States. The qualifying window depends on your state of residence at the time of the test:

  • Ohio: February 17, 2016 through August 7, 2025
  • New Jersey: May 5, 2016 through August 7, 2025
  • Florida: February 24, 2017 through August 7, 2025
  • New York and Illinois: April 27, 2017 through August 7, 2025
  • All other states: February 17, 2018 through August 7, 2025

If you received a notice from the settlement administrator, you are already identified as eligible. If you did not get a notice but think you qualify, you can still submit a claim and have your eligibility determined.1Natera Prenatal Testing Litigation. In re Natera Prenatal Testing Litigation

How Much You Can Receive

Payments come from a net settlement fund (the $8,250,000 total minus attorneys’ fees, service awards, and administrative costs). Two tiers apply:

  • Without proof of purchase: a one-time payment of up to $30.
  • With proof of purchase showing out-of-pocket costs above $300: a one-time payment of up to 10% of the total amount you paid.

Both tiers adjust proportionally. If approved claims exceed the net fund, payments shrink; if fewer people file, payments can grow. The $30 cap is firm regardless of adjustment, and no payment exceeds the claimant’s actual out-of-pocket cost. The exact per-person amount is not known until the administrator finishes tallying claims after the deadline.2Natera NIPT Settlement. Claim Form Login – In re Natera Prenatal Testing Litigation

Documentation You Need

Before opening the form, gather anything that shows what you paid. Acceptable proof includes invoices from Natera, credit card or bank statements showing the charge, and explanation of benefits documents from your insurer. What matters is that the Natera name, the date of service, and the amount you paid out of pocket are visible. Section 2.3 of the Settlement Agreement, linked from the settlement FAQ page, lists specifics.3Natera Prenatal Testing Litigation. Frequently Asked Questions

No receipts? File anyway. You drop to the $30 tier instead of the percentage tier, but filing without documentation is far better than skipping the claim.

Pulling Records From Natera

If your original paperwork is gone, two Natera portals can help. The patient portal at my.natera.com shows past test results. The payments portal at natera.com/payment holds payment history and downloadable receipts. Either can support your claim.4Natera. Portal Hub

Filing Online

The fastest route is nateraniptsettlement.com/form/claim. You need the Unique ID and PIN printed at the top of the mailed notice. If you received the notice but misplaced the credentials, the claim login page has a lookup tool.2Natera NIPT Settlement. Claim Form Login – In re Natera Prenatal Testing Litigation

Once logged in, enter your full legal name, mailing address, and contact information. Identify which test you received (Panorama or Vasistera) and the approximate date of service. Upload documentation during this step if you have out-of-pocket costs above $300. You will sign an attestation under penalty of perjury that your entries are truthful, that you paid for the test, and that you have not already received a full refund from another source. Pick a payment method and review before submitting.

Opting Out or Objecting

Filing a claim means giving up your right to sue Natera separately over the claims this settlement covers. To keep that right, request exclusion by July 24, 2026. Opting out means no payment but preserves your ability to bring your own case.1Natera Prenatal Testing Litigation. In re Natera Prenatal Testing Litigation

If you want to stay in the class but think the terms are unfair, you can file an objection with the court by the same date. Exclusion requests and objections go to a different P.O. Box than claims:

After You File

The administrator cross-references your claim against Natera’s records. Incomplete or inconsistent entries get flagged for follow-up, which slows things down, so confirm your test date falls within your state’s window and that your contact information is current.

The final approval hearing is set for August 20, 2026, before the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, Oakland Division. If the court approves the settlement and no appeals follow, payments typically go out within several months. Appeals can extend that timeline considerably.1Natera Prenatal Testing Litigation. Taxes on Your Payment

Settlement payments for consumer fraud and breach of warranty claims are generally treated as taxable ordinary income under federal law. The IRS defines gross income broadly, and courts have consistently held that fraud-related damages fall within that definition.5Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 26 USC 61 – Gross Income Defined The main exception covers damages for personal physical injuries or physical sickness, which does not apply here. If your payment is large enough to affect your taxes, set aside a portion or talk to a tax professional before filing season.
