Nathan Griffith Sentenced to Prison: Assault Plea and Where He’s Held

Nathan Griffith, a former cast member of MTV’s Teen Mom 2, is serving a Nevada prison sentence of 14 to 48 months after pleading guilty to a felony count of battery constituting domestic violence by strangulation. He was sentenced on May 30, 2025 for an April 2025 attack on his then-girlfriend, 21-year-old Anastasia Biddle, in Las Vegas. At the hearing, the judge told him, “You are a danger to others and you’re going to kill someone.”¹ Griffith, 37, was already on probation for strangling his sister when he attacked Biddle.

The April 2025 Assault

Griffith was arrested on April 23, 2025 in Las Vegas. Biddle, who had been dating him for less than six months, reportedly told Griffith she wanted to end the relationship, and the assault followed.² During the altercation she called Griffith’s mother for help and later said he “got on top of” her and “scared” her.³ That same night, Biddle contacted SafeNest, a Las Vegas domestic violence organization, to seek a short-term protection order.⁴ Griffith was held at the Clark County jail.

The Guilty Plea and Sentence

In May 2025, Griffith pleaded guilty to one felony count of battery constituting domestic violence by strangulation. On May 30, 2025, the court imposed a minimum of 14 months and a maximum of 48 months in prison.¹ Nevada Department of Corrections records show his sentence began on May 17, 2025.⁵

The judge also recommended that Griffith take part in substance abuse treatment and vocational training while incarcerated.⁵

Probation Revocation from the 2023 Case

The new conviction violated the probation Griffith was serving for a September 2023 guilty plea to attempted battery by strangulation against his sister, Heather Griffith. He had been placed in a Nevada Veterans Court program that required sobriety and rehabilitation. Over two years, the court tried multiple rehab programs and halfway houses, but Griffith repeatedly failed to comply, and his probation was revoked.⁶

Where Griffith Is Being Held

As of July 2025, Griffith is housed at Southern Desert Correctional Facility, a medium-security Nevada prison in Indian Springs, after a transfer by the Nevada Department of Corrections. The facility offers substance abuse treatment and trade certifications in HVAC, automotive repair, and forklift operation.⁵

A Decade of Domestic Violence Allegations

The sentencing judge’s warning tracked a record of similar allegations stretching back ten years, involving multiple partners and a family member.

March 2015: Arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for domestic violence against his then-fiancée Jenelle Evans, who alleged he tried to forcibly remove her engagement ring. She later dropped the charges.¹
2016: Arrested in South Carolina after Jessica Henry told police Griffith entered her room while she was sleeping and began choking her.³
February 2023: Arrested in Delray Beach, Florida for domestic battery by strangulation. According to a police report, Griffith told a family member he had “lost it,” “choked a woman,” and “dragged her up the stairs.” Officers observed bruising on the victim’s neck. The charges were dropped the following month.⁷⁸
July 2023: Arrested in Las Vegas for battery by strangulation against his sister Heather Griffith. Officers noted a strong odor of alcohol, slurred speech, and stumbling. He was held on $5,000 bail and pleaded guilty to attempted battery by strangulation in September 2023.⁷⁶
April 2025: Arrested for the strangulation of Anastasia Biddle. This is the case for which he is currently incarcerated.¹

Restraining orders have been filed against Griffith on separate occasions as well. In July 2020, a female acquaintance in Florida obtained a one-year restraining order alleging stalking, threats of violence, and verbal abuse.⁹ After the July 2023 arrest, a girlfriend obtained a protective order requiring Griffith to stay at least 500 feet from her, her home, her vehicle, and her workplace.¹⁰

Griffith’s record also includes driving-related offenses: a September 2013 DUI arrest in North Myrtle Beach, an April 2014 arrest for driving with a suspended license and resisting arrest that drew a 47-day jail sentence, a February 2018 charge in Myrtle Beach for striking highway fixtures and failing to report the collisions, and an October 2019 arrest in Cary, North Carolina for driving while impaired after police found him unconscious in a running vehicle.¹¹⁷
