Nicholas Mancini: Arrest, JiDion’s Role, and Indictment

Nicholas R. Mancini, a 39-year-old from Endwell, New York, was indicted by a Broome County grand jury on November 25, 2025, on a class D felony count of disseminating indecent material to minors in the first degree. Police say he sent sexually explicit images and videos over Snapchat to someone he believed was a 13-year-old girl. That person was the YouTuber JiDion, who films confrontations with suspected child predators and turned the recordings over to the Endicott Police Department.

The communications reportedly started on Facebook on April 2, 2025, and moved to Snapchat, where the explicit content was allegedly shared. Mancini worked at a local barbershop and, according to reporting on the case, had allegedly first encountered the supposed minor there and later made plans to rent an Airbnb for a meeting. What the Charge Carries

New York Penal Law § 235.22 covers knowingly using a computer communication system to send material depicting nudity, sexual conduct, or sado-masochistic abuse to a minor while also attempting to induce the minor to engage in sexual contact or a sexual performance.6New York State Senate. Penal Law Section 235.22 The statute applies even when the recipient is not actually a minor, provided the defendant believed they were.

As a class D felony, the offense carries an indeterminate prison term with a maximum of up to seven years and a minimum of at least one year under Penal Law § 70.00. A court may impose a definite sentence of one year or less if it finds a longer term would be unduly harsh given the circumstances and the defendant’s history.7New York State Senate. A conviction also triggers mandatory registration under New York’s Sex Offender Registration Act. The risk level — Level 1, 2, or 3, for low, moderate, or high risk — is set by a court after reviewing the nature of the offense, criminal history, and post-offense conduct.8New York State Magistrates Association. Sex Offender Registration Act Reference Guide Section 235.22 is also listed as a qualifying offense for predicate sex offender designation, which carries enhanced consequences for any later sex offense conviction.9City of Yonkers.
