Porter, Alexander and Joseph Lawsuit: Charges, Verdict, and Appeal

The Alexander brothers lawsuit most people are searching for is the federal sex trafficking prosecution of Tal, Oren, and Alon Alexander, three former luxury real estate brokers convicted in Manhattan federal court in March 2026. No party named Porter or Joseph appears in the criminal case or in the civil suits filed against the brothers; that combination of names does not match any plaintiff, defendant, or attorney in the record.

Who the Alexander Brothers Are

Tal Alexander, 39, and his twin brothers Oren and Alon, 38, spent roughly a decade at Douglas Elliman selling ultra-luxury property in New York, South Florida, the Hamptons, and Aspen. In 2021, their team closed more than $1.8 billion in sales, about 3.5 percent of Elliman’s total volume that year. In June 2022, Tal and Oren left Elliman to launch their own brokerage, Official, with the technology firm Side.¹

The Federal Charges

Federal agents arrested all three brothers in South Florida on December 11, 2024, on an indictment from the Southern District of New York. The original charges included conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion for each brother, with a second sex trafficking count against Tal.²

Prosecutors said the conduct ran from at least 2010 through 2021 and involved “dozens of female victims.” According to the indictment, the brothers used their wealth, status, and access to luxury settings, along with social media, dating apps, and party promoters, to lure women. They then supplied drugs including cocaine, mushrooms, and GHB, at times slipping substances into drinks to incapacitate women before assaulting them.²

A superseding indictment on May 8, 2025, expanded the case to six alleged victims, one identified as “Minor Victim-3.” That filing alleged Alon and Tal had a “reasonable opportunity” to observe the victim was under 18. Tal picked up additional sex trafficking and inducement counts, and Alon and Oren were each charged with aggravated sexual abuse by force.³⁴ The brothers were held without bail throughout, after Judge Valerie E. Caproni found they posed a danger to the community and a flight risk and rejected a proposed $115 million bail package.⁵⁶

The Trial and Verdict

Jury selection began January 20, 2026, before Judge Caproni, with opening statements on January 26. All three brothers pleaded not guilty.⁷⁸

Over five weeks, 11 women testified about being drugged and sexually assaulted by the brothers at locations including the Hamptons, Aspen, and on a Caribbean cruise. Prosecutors told jurors that more than 60 women had come forward with allegations.⁹ Evidence included a video that prosecutors said showed Oren Alexander raping a 17-year-old in 2009.¹⁰

On March 9, 2026, the jury returned guilty verdicts on all 19 counts. All three were convicted of sex trafficking conspiracy and sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion. Alon and Tal were also convicted of sex trafficking of a minor. Alon and Oren were convicted of aggravated sexual abuse by force or intoxicant and of sexual abuse of a physically incapacitated person. Oren was additionally convicted of sexually exploiting a minor.⁹

The prosecution was led by U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton, with federal prosecutor Elizabeth Espinosa among those trying the case. Defense counsel included Marc Agnifilo, Howard Srebnick, and Deanna Paul.¹¹ Outside court, Agnifilo said, “We believe in our clients’ innocence and we’re not going to stop fighting until we prevail.”¹²

Civil Lawsuits Against the Brothers

The criminal case runs alongside a growing set of civil suits, most filed under the New York City Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act. Rebecca Mandel and Kate Whiteman sued in March 2024, alleging assault, battery, and rape.¹³ Angelica Parker sued in June 2024, alleging a coordinated 2012 assault by all three brothers in a Manhattan apartment. U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan dismissed her case as untimely, and the Second Circuit is weighing whether to refer questions about conflicting New York City and state revival windows to the New York Court of Appeals.¹⁴

On February 18, 2025, eleven more women filed suits, with Leah Peters as the only named plaintiff and the others proceeding as Jane Does.¹⁵ On March 5, 2026, with the criminal jury about to deliberate, Beverly Hills broker and “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” star Tracy Tutor sued Oren Alexander in New York federal court, alleging he drugged and sexually assaulted her in 2014.¹⁶ Oren Alexander’s civil attorney, Jason Goldman, called the allegations “false” and “salacious” and said the filing was a “transparent attempt to create headlines.”¹⁷

Sentencing and Appeal

Sentencing is set for August 6, 2026, before Judge Caproni. The brothers face a mandatory minimum of 15 years and a maximum of life in prison, and they remain in federal custody in the meantime. The defense has said it will appeal.¹⁰⁹
