Eligibility turns on where you lived and when you used SelectQuote.com to request an insurance quote. The covered windows are:
- Florida residents: October 17, 2019 through October 17, 2023.
- California, Maryland, and Massachusetts residents: October 17, 2020 through October 17, 2023.
- Everyone else: October 17, 2021 through October 17, 2023.

Each valid claim is worth up to $20. That figure is a cap, not a guarantee. Once administrative costs, attorney fees (class counsel asked for up to $2,750,000), service awards of $3,500 for each of the seven named plaintiffs, and taxes come out of the fund, the remainder is split among approved claimants. Deadlines and Approval Status
The claim deadline is July 31, 2025. The final approval hearing was scheduled for July 29, 2025 at 10:00 AM EDT. The court granted preliminary approval in March 2025 after the parties filed the settlement agreement with the Nassau County Clerk on January 6, 2025.2ClassAction.org. No payments go out until the court gives final approval and that approval becomes effective. What the Case Was About
The lawsuit, Sequin, et al. v. SelectQuote Insurance Service (Case No. 616858/2024), was filed on September 24, 2024 in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Nassau County. Seven named plaintiffs alleged that SelectQuote installed Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel tracking tools on its website, which transmitted visitors’ web activity and personal health information to Facebook and TikTok without consent, in violation of various state privacy laws.2ClassAction.org. If You Wanted to Opt Out or Object
Both options closed on July 1, 2025. An opt-out preserved your right to sue SelectQuote separately over these claims but forfeited any settlement payment. An objection let you stay in the class while telling the court why you disagreed with the terms; valid objections had to include your name, contact information, proof of class membership, and a written explanation, plus a notice of appearance if you wanted to speak at the final hearing.7ClassAction.org.
