If you bought certain Shein products between January 1, 2020, and December 31, 2024, you can file a Shein settlement claim form online through the settlement administrator’s portal to receive between $25 and $850. The deadline is 11:59 PM Pacific Time on July 10, 2026. The $58 million product safety settlement received preliminary court approval on January 22, 2026, and covers more than 400 specific items, mostly children’s clothing and accessories flagged for potential chemical safety concerns.
Who Qualifies
You must have purchased one of the specifically listed products directly from the Shein website or mobile app between January 1, 2020, and December 31, 2024. The case number is 2:24-cv-08921.
The affected products are primarily children’s clothing and accessories. The settlement administrator’s portal maintains a searchable database of every qualifying item. If your product isn’t on that list, it doesn’t qualify, regardless of when or where you bought it. Confirm your purchase appears on the list before you start the form.
How to File the Claim
Everything happens through the settlement administrator’s online portal. Have your purchase records in front of you before you begin.
- Gather your proof of purchase: order numbers, dates, and documentation like email confirmations, receipts, or Shein account history. The portal accepts JPG, PNG, or PDF uploads up to 5MB each.
- Enter your name, address, email, and phone number, then your order details, and upload your proof of purchase.
- Select your claim tier (see below). Tiers 2 and 3 require medical documentation.
- Choose how you want to be paid: check or PayPal.
- Save the Claim ID you receive after submitting. You’ll need it to track your claim.
If your claim is initially rejected, you have 30 days to correct errors or add documentation.
Claim Tiers and Payouts
The settlement uses a three-tier structure that pays more to people who suffered greater harm. Each tier has its own documentation requirement.
- Tier 1 (purchase only): You bought a qualifying product and have proof of purchase. No medical documentation needed. Estimated payout: $25 to $75.
- Tier 2 (medical consultation): You saw a doctor for symptoms potentially linked to chemical exposure from a qualifying product. You’ll need medical records along with your proof of purchase. Estimated payout: $150 to $400.
- Tier 3 (confirmed exposure): You have lab-confirmed evidence of harmful exposure, such as blood lead levels above 5 micrograms per deciliter. Estimated payout: $500 to $850.
The total settlement fund is $58 million. Actual payouts will depend on how many valid claims come in.
Deadlines and Final Approval
Claims are due by 11:59 PM Pacific Time on July 10, 2026. Filing at least two weeks early gives you room to fix anything the administrator flags.
The final approval hearing is scheduled for August 15, 2026. Preliminary approval was granted on January 22, 2026, but until the judge signs off at the final hearing, the terms could still change. Shein has not admitted wrongdoing or liability as part of the agreement.
Other Shein Lawsuits Without a Claim Form
If you landed here looking for a different case, note that several other Shein legal actions are active but none currently have a consumer claim form.
In July 2025, the District Attorneys of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Napa, and Sonoma counties settled a consumer protection lawsuit against Shein over shipping delays for $700,000 in civil penalties and costs. That was a government enforcement action, not a class action, so there’s no money for individual consumers to claim.1LA County.
