What the Housekeepers Allege
The four plaintiffs, identified only as Jane Does 1 through 4, worked at Robinson properties in Chatsworth, Bell Canyon, and Las Vegas. Frances Robinson is named as a defendant on allegations that she knew of her husband’s conduct, had previously settled cases with other women, and failed to take corrective action. Robinson’s Denial and $500 Million Countersuit

On May 28, 2025, the Robinsons filed a cross-complaint seeking at least $500 million against the four Jane Does and their lawyers. The countersuit alleges an “extortionate scheme” that began with pre-litigation demands for $100 million or more and escalated into a public campaign against the couple after those demands were refused. Beyond defamation, the countersuit brings claims for financial elder abuse under California welfare law, civil conspiracy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and invasion of privacy. Criminal Investigation
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed on May 15, 2025 that its Special Victims Bureau had opened a criminal investigation after the four plaintiffs filed a police report. Frost said Robinson welcomed the investigation and was “confident that a determination will be made that Mr. Robinson did nothing wrong,” while also characterizing the police report as an attempt to prejudice public opinion.10NBC News. Plaintiffs Can Stay Anonymous, For Now
Robinson’s team asked the court to force the women to refile under their real names, arguing that anonymity hampered the defense’s ability to subpoena witnesses. On September 11, 2025, Judge Kevin C. Brazile denied the motion and allowed the plaintiffs to continue as Jane Does. “Maybe later,” the judge said, signaling that disclosure could be required at a later stage.12People. Defamation Claim Dismissed
On April 23, 2026, Judge Brazile dismissed the defamation portion of Robinson’s countersuit. As a public figure, Robinson was required to show “clear and convincing” evidence of “actual malice,” and the judge found he had not. New Accusers Added
In November 2025, the plaintiffs’ attorneys moved to add two new anonymous accusers: a male former car valet and a fifth female former housekeeper. The male accuser alleges Robinson fondled himself in front of him and tried to place the man’s hand on his genitals. Trial Date and Where Things Stand
Judge Brazile has set trial for October 11, 2027, and prioritized the date in part because of Robinson’s age; he was 85 when the suit was filed.16Complex.
