The Tectone Lawsuit: Protective Order, Civil Ruling, and Fallout

The Tectone lawsuit ended on January 23, 2026, when a Travis County, Texas judge granted a 10-year civil protective order against streamer John Robertson, known online as Tectone, in favor of his ex-girlfriend Pinkchyu. After a hearing that ran about seven hours, the court found her allegations of sexual assault, abuse, harassment, and threats more likely true than not under the civil preponderance standard.¹ Robertson denies the allegations. No criminal charges have been filed.

What Pinkchyu Alleged

Pinkchyu first made her accusations public on November 20, 2024, in a series of posts on X, describing sexual misconduct during their relationship.² She later filed for a civil protective order in Travis County, and at the January 2026 hearing she presented text messages, audio recordings, and testimony to support her account.¹

Robertson responded to the initial allegations almost immediately, calling them “entirely made up” and posting screenshots he said contradicted specific claims, including proof that Pinkchyu had paid rent and an earlier post in which she referred to him positively. On a November 24, 2024 broadcast he demanded she delete her posts and apologize within 24 hours, saying he did not want to go to court.²

After the ruling, Robertson publicly acknowledged the loss on February 1, 2026. He said “a civil case is a vibe check” and argued that he was the one who had needed evidence to prove his innocence.¹ In a civil protective order case, the burden actually sits with the applicant, and the judge found Pinkchyu met it.

What the Protective Order Requires

The 10-year order places several restrictions on Robertson:¹

No contact with Pinkchyu.
He must stay at least 200 yards from her home and workplace.
Limitations on his possession of firearms.
He was ordered to delete certain online content.
He must pay Pinkchyu’s legal fees.

Civil Order, Not a Criminal Conviction

The case was decided in civil court, and the outcome does not carry jail time or produce a criminal record.¹ Under Texas law, a protective order in a sexual assault case requires the court to find reasonable grounds to believe the applicant was a victim, and the applicant’s testimony alone can be enough to support the order without corroborating police reports or hospital records. Violating a protective order, however, is itself a criminal offense and can be charged as a felony.

Fallout for Robertson

Within days of Pinkchyu’s November 2024 posts, Robertson’s name was removed from the website of OTK, the content creator organization he had been part of.³ On November 23, 2024, he announced he had resigned, saying his contract had expired on November 1 and he had chosen not to renew it, describing the decision as long-planned and framing himself as a “troll” and “rage-baiter” whose behavior he did not want to burden others with.² OTK did not comment publicly on the allegations or his departure.

He has continued streaming across Twitch, YouTube, and Kick, but has run into repeated platform discipline. By August 2025, he had been suspended from Twitch five times that year, with the most recent ban following a broadcast in which he used a homophobic slur and told a viewer to “kill themselves,” violating the platform’s hateful conduct policies.⁴ In March 2026, YouTube handed him a one-week ban for what it described as “excessive swearing.” Robertson criticized the suspension, saying platforms “pretend you can speak your mind freely but you really can’t.”⁵
