What Class Members Could Claim

- Reimbursement of up to $5,000 for documented out-of-pocket losses tied to the breach, such as identity theft or fraud costs. - Two years of CyEx Medical Shield Complete, which includes credit file monitoring with one bureau, dark web scanning, security freeze assistance, $1,000,000 in identity theft insurance with no deductible, and access to fraud resolution agents.3Veradigm Data Settlement. Both cash payments were subject to pro rata adjustment based on the volume of valid claims against the net fund. The fund also covers administration costs (estimated at $1.35 million and capped at $1.79 million), attorneys’ fees of up to one-third of the fund, and service awards of up to $2,500 for each class representative.4ClassAction.org. Payments and the September 10, 2026 Check Deadline
Approved payments went out on June 12, 2026 after the final approval hearing held March 24, 2026 at the Everett McKinley Dirksen United States Courthouse in Chicago. What Was Exposed
Around December 15, 2024, an unauthorized third party used stolen credentials, taken during a separate incident at a Veradigm customer, to access a Veradigm storage account.5HIPAA Journal. Veradigm Data Breach6Claim Depot. Veradigm 2025 Data Breach
The exposed data included names, contact details, dates of birth, health records such as diagnoses, medications, test results, and treatments, along with health insurance information, payment details, Social Security numbers, and driver’s license numbers.5HIPAA Journal. The Case Behind the Settlement
The class action, Goodrum, et al. v. The parties first agreed to an $8,750,000 fund, which Judge Blakey preliminarily approved on September 25, 2025.
