On April 19, 2022, Miller was arrested again, this time on a charge of second-degree assault. The Vermont Burglary Case and the Guilty Plea
The case that produced Miller’s only conviction began on May 1, 2022, when Miller allegedly entered a home in Stamford, Vermont, without permission and took several bottles of alcohol while the homeowners were away. The Allegations Alongside the Arrests
Several of the most serious accusations against Miller never produced criminal charges. The first widely publicized incident predated the arrests. In the spring of 2020, video surfaced of Miller grabbing a young woman by the throat and throwing her to the ground outside a bar in Reykjavík, Iceland. The woman said she had been chatting with Miller inside and jokingly suggested they go to the smoking area to fight; Miller apparently took her literally, followed her outside, and got on top of her while screaming in her face.10Variety. In February 2022, a Berlin woman identified as Nadia said Miller harassed her at her apartment after she asked them not to smoke inside, spreading tobacco on the floor and refusing to leave despite roughly 20 requests. In June 2022, Chase Iron Eyes and Sara Jumping Eagle filed a petition in Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Court alleging Miller had been “psychologically manipulating, physically intimidating and endangering the safety and welfare” of their child, Tokata Iron Eyes. Separate from any charges, Rolling Stone reported in June 2022 that a 25-year-old mother and her three children, aged one to five, had been living at Miller’s 96-acre farm in Stamford, Vermont, since mid-April. Sources said unattended firearms were scattered around the home, and video from the property showed at least eight weapons in the living room, some propped near stuffed animals and children’s toys. Miller’s Apology
On August 15, 2022, with the Vermont case still open, Miller issued a public statement through Variety. “Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment,” Miller said. “I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. What It Cost Miller’s Career
Warner Bros. had two franchises tied to Miller when the troubles peaked. The Flash, with a reported $200 million production budget, was already completed.23Deadline.
