Judge Brooks denied the motion on June 1, 2026, without reaching those arguments. The deadline was June 24, 2025. Duggar said he had dropped the paperwork in a prison mailbox at FCI Seagoville that day, invoking the prison mailbox rule, which treats a filing as timely when the inmate hands it to the mail system. What Happens When He Gets Out
Release in February 2033 will not end the restrictions. Duggar faces 20 years of supervised release with extensive conditions. He is barred from unsupervised contact with any minors, including his own seven children. Any contact with his children must be supervised by his wife, his parents, or another person approved by the U.S. Probation Office. He cannot possess or use a computer or any device with internet access or photo storage without prior approval, and any approved device must accept monitoring software.
